Alpha Gamma Delta

Founded May 4, 1904 at Syracuse University in New York, the Alpha Gamma Delta women's fraternity was admitted to the National Panhellenic Conference in 1909. Today, Alpha Gamma Delta, the largest women's fraternity throughout the United States and Canada, boasts 179 collegiate chapters and 250 alumni chapters, clubs, and Junior Circles.

The Alberta Chapter, known as the Delta Kappa Chapter, came into existence March 2, 1996, when 25 women, both collegians and new alumni, were initiated. Committed to the pursuit of scholarship, philanthropy, leadership, and friendship, the Chapter raises funds for the Campus and Edmonton Food Banks, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and Edmonton-based women's shelters.
