Bill Woywitka Memorial Award
The Bill Woywitka Memorial Award, established “in memory of an athlete, a scholar and a gentleman who was a member of the Football team”, is awarded annually to the most valuable Golden Bears football player.
Bill Woywitka was a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine; his specialty was Ophthalmology. He was killed in a tragic car accident just as he was into his first few years of practice.
