Rob Bell Memorial Trophy
Golden Bears Tennis MVP

Rob Bell, Tennis Manager at the University of Alberta from 1986 to 1995, formed the University of Alberta Men’s Tennis Club Team in 1987, and coached the team from 1987 to 1995.  He contributed greatly to the development of the sport of tennis at the University of Alberta, in the city of Edmonton, and at the provincial level.  He also served as President of the Greater Edmonton Tennis Association and was a Director of the Board of Tennis Alberta, but he succumbed to cancer at an early age.  Presented annually to the top Golden Bears tennis player, the Rob Bell Memorial Trophy was established in his memory.
