Tom Towns
Tom Towns starred for the University of Alberta Golden Bears football and wrestling teams from 1970-75, leading the defensive unit of a Bears team that won a national championship in 1971. He went on to play ten years for the Edmonton Eskimos, making an important contribution to six Grey Cup Championship Eskimos teams. In recognition of his athletic achievements, the University of Alberta named Towns a 2002 inductee to its Sports Wall of Fame.People
