Susan Nattrass

Susan Nattrass, 1972 BPE, 1974 MA, 1988 PhD, dominated the sport of trapshooting by winning six World Championship gold medals, four silver, and three bronze and by holding the women's world record from 1974-89. She was invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada, inducted into Edmonton's, Alberta's and Canada's Sports Halls of Fame, and named Canada's Athlete of the Year (1981). She was instrumental in establishing separate women's events in trap and skeet shooting for the 2000 Olympics.

Nattrass is a 2003 recipient of the University of Alberta Alumni Association's Honour Award.
