Riel Project

1977-1984
Under the sponsorship of the Universities of Alberta, Calgary, and Sherbrooke, the Riel Project was established to publish a critical, bilingual edition of the collected writings of Louis Riel to mark the 100th anniversary of his death. A five-volume edition was published by the University of Alberta Press in 1985. Dr. G.F.G. Stanley was the general editor of the project.
