Petro-Canada Young Innovator Awards Program

Dr. Janet Elliott

Established at the University of Alberta in 1999 by a generous endowment from Petro-Canada, the Petro-Canada Young Innovator Awards Program is designed to recognize and help support the work of outstanding young faculty researchers in the Faculties of Business, Engineering, and Science.

More specifically, these awards recognize, promote, and support outstanding and innovative faculty researchers at the University of Alberta whose academic work positively affects the learning environment of the department in which they work and whose research has potential to be of significance to society at large. The program is intended to articulate the commitment of Petro-Canada and the University of Alberta to support these researchers in the launch of their scholarly careers and enable them to carry their research forward.
